2007 FIPS - Mouche World Fly Fishing Championship

The 2007 Fly Fishing World Championships are being held in Finland and the organizing committee has just released their official web site that tells all about it. We wonder if our Blogging Finnish Fly Fishing Friend, Opax will be participating?

The main stage of the Championships, the 180 kilometre long River Simojoki, is part of the European Union Natura 2000 Network and offers versatile fishing environments. We also want to offer the competitors a chance to fish under diverse conditions in order to show some of the many possibilities for fly fishing which southern Lapland offers, and to give them a chance to test out various tactics and techniques in order to achieve the best possible result.

Can anyone else say it with me? "ROAD TRIP!"
