Charlotte Observer columnist Tom Higgins confirms the rumors that were going around about Kevin Howell of Davidson River Outfitters being the winner of the Fly Fishing Masters 2006 Tournament. The results were reported on some of our favorite message boards but this is the first official confirmation we have had.
Transylvania County angler Kevin Howell is the co-champion of the Flyfishing Masters 2006 national tournament. He took the title, along with partner Rick Hartman, a Texan, in the made-for-TV competition at Noontootla Creek in Georgia. Howell is the first angler from the Eastern U.S. to win it.
