"That's nothing, really," Kotch said. "A buddy of mine paid $110,000 for one - a Haskell Muskie Minnow in the box. He sold it within a year. I think he tripled his money. I know the guy who bought it said he was offered $500,000 for it, but he wasn't going to sell it."

The 10-inch Haskell Minnow, designed by Riley Haskell of Painesville, is the rarest fishing lure in the world, according to the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club. It was the first casting plug to receive a patent, in 1859.
