I am currently planning a vacation to Alaska for next year and came across this Glossary of Alaskan words that I thought might be of help. Here are a few of my favorites:
Salmorambo: One who fishes for salmon at crowded areas wearing various weaponry. (Kalani Parnell)
Halibutout: To discourage someone from using your favorite fishing spot. (Anonymous)
Also, from the non-fishing related sections (I recently watched the Grizzlyman documentary).
Treadwellian: The philosophy that one can exist indefinitely around wild grizzlies without being harmed. (Kalani Parnell)
