N.C. Fly Angler Lands World Record Snapper
Jeanette Gallaher of Fayetteville, North Carolina landed a 6 pound 8 ounce Mutton Snapper while fly fishing Triff Harbor, Grand Bahamas. The fish has been certified as an IFGA women's fly fishing world record for the 16 pound line class.
“I was absolutely elated,” said Gallaher, who learned to fly fish eight years ago and loves the sport that takes her to destinations she may otherwise have missed out on."
