In a strange twist even for an article about oil exploration, Time Magazine compares the search for oil to fly fishing. "Finding oil is like fishing in a pond. After several months, you notice that you are not catching as many fish. You could buy an expensive fly rod--new technology. Or you could decide that you have already caught most of the fish in the pond." This sort of thing reminds me of those TV commercials where famous football players chastise people for using football related metaphors as a comparison to business. Maybe we should ask Lefty Kreh to give these folks a call.
