Noted Virginia fly angler and outdoor writer, Richard Formato, took a few moments to drop us a note that included a photo of this massive brown trout. One thing that I have noticed about anglers who consistently catch big fish is that they rarely fish only one fly at a time. Mr. Formato is not an exception as he told us that this wild brown was caught on a caddis emerger fished as a dropper from a stimulator. He wisely neglected to tell us where he caught said fish, referring to its home only as a "secret stream."
We appreciate Richard sharing this great photograph with us. We are looking forward to hearing more about Mr. Formato's angling adventures in the near future.
