The anchorage Daily News has a story about ex-engineer Norm Norlander and his finger powered spinning fly tying vise known as the Nor-Vise. Norlander has created a sort of fly tying lathe that allows tiers to turn out flies at a much faster pace than with a traditional non-spinning vise.
