The interim director of the Alamagordo Public Library is leaving her job. This wouldn't be much in the way of fly fishing news except for the following excerpt from the story:
"He told a story about a time when Salgado was fishing close to twilight -- and snared a bat on her first cast.
"She's the only person I know who can catch a flying bat with a dry fly," he said. (They unhooked the bat and turned it loose.)"
Perhaps her backcast is a bit on the high side. Note to self: more fishing near caves.
