Scottish Guides Consider Disinfecting Foreign Anglers

It seems that North America is not the only part of the world where trout stocks are threatened by parasites. In this article from Scotsman.com, Finlay Wilson talks about his responsibility for keeping the Gyrodactylus Salaris bug out of Scottish Waters. This little nasty critter can live on fishing equipment for days between trips. Mr. Wilson is concerned because he regularly guides anglers from all around the world on Scottish waters. One suggestion I thought of was to hose down visiting anglers with Scotch before taking them fishing. Note to self: plan trip to Scotland.
