Say it isn't so! The French have won the 25th Annual FIPS-Mouche World Fly Fishing Championships that were recently held in Sweden. Team USA finished 15th with the highest scoring American in the individual rankings finishing 34th. This is down right embarrassing. I am sure the Americans were distracted by the tall, leggy, blond, Swedish Bikini Team or something like that. Paisley, Zug, and Garwood, are you guys up for a trip next year? We need to bring the flag home again!
P.S. I wasn't going to go there but I can't resist. Obviously the trout didn't put up much of a fight. If they had been fishing for German Brown Trout the French would have surrendered right away. "Je rends heureusement à vous la truite de Monsieur."
Ok Ok, Now for the vague Monty Python reference. I can see the French team across the banks of the river, after having won, yelling at the Americans, (read in your best French accent) "Go away or we shall taunt you a second time!"
